We have been involved in water jet cutting technology on concrete commonly known as hydrodemolition in many locations over many years.

From the Trident Refit Berth at DML in the year 2000 to working recently on a motorway bridge at Pilsworth including many other projects throughout the years and around the country.

HydroDemolition

Hydrodemolition also know as “hydro cutting”, “hydro demolition”, and “concrete cutting”. We can plan the project for you and not only remove the defective concrete, but we can saw cut and trim the effected areas, grit blast and prime the rebar, and undertake concrete repair apply rapid setting concrete mixes such as manufactured by Flexcrete and Sika. Our men are experienced and licenced to drive access equipment. We are familiar and have worded under the Highways Agency document “AR 1771”.


Using the Hydrodemolition method of concrete cutting , concrete is removed without damaging the rebar ( reinforcing bar) For the operator, the use of water jetting lances is preferable to power tools such as jack hammers as “vibration white finger ” is eliminated and also with the absence of vibration, the structure does not suffer any micro fractures.
